Adam MacVicar joined Global Calgary in 2017 and covers city hall.
Born in the small town of Wabush, N.L., where he spent his early years before moving to Calgary, where he developed a passion for news, storytelling and politics.
A graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Radio, Television and Broadcast News program, he began his broadcast career as an anchor and reporter in radio before transitioning to TV news at Lloydminster’s Newcap Television, and then Global Saskatoon.
When Adam isn’t reporting, he can be found watching and reading the news.
A diehard Calgary Flames and Stampeders fan, he also enjoys living an active lifestyle, watching the latest boxing or mixed martial arts card, and spending time with friends and family.
