Gil Tucker
Reporter
Born and raised on the West Coast, Gul Tucker is a graduate of Vancouver Community College and BCIT.
Prior to joining Global Calgary, Gill was a broadcaster in Prince George, Kelowna and Red Deer.
He has worked as a general reporter and occasional anchor, before settling into his current role a reporter specializing in telling the stories of people in the community.
Some the memorable stories include:
- The players who put in all the hours at the rink in Chestermere in 2012 and 2014 to set new records for the world’s longest hockey game, raising $1 million for the Children’s Hospital
- A nine-year-old girl who sold her paintings of hearts to raise $11, 000 to help the homeless
- The entertaining Herb Williams, the creator and host of the Superdogs shows
- Taking a pummeling at the hands of 82-year-old wrestling legend Stu Hart
